MicroNeedle Radiofrequency Rejuvenation
At VITAL, we offer several solutions for skin rejuvenation to meet all patients’ needs according to their age, special requirements and skin condition. MicroNeedle RF is an innovative, safe and accurate method of painlessly lifting skin without a scalpel. It is an acceptable alternative to more aggressive, fractional laser treatments and lifting with minimal (1-2 days) convalescence.
This technology allows your doctor to perform micropunctures (a set of ultra fine needles in the hand-piece penetrate the skin painlessly) while simultaneously heating the skin using radio waves. This results in thermolifting, thickening and firming of the skin, improving the appearance of the face (oval, drooping cheeks), around the eyes (wrinkles, drooping eyelid, bags under the eyes), neck, hands, chest, abdomen and arms (flabby skin).
The head unit is equipped with 36 micro needles, the ends of which, after piercing the skin, are heated. Within the skin, each needle acts as an electrode to emit RF energy through the dermis, generating heat, which causes tightening and collagen production and renewal, activating skin cells to improve tension, tone, colour and texture of the skin.
Is MicroNeedle RF safe?
Yes it is quite safe. You might experience slight redness after the session and this usually subsides within 1-2 days.
How long does each procedure take?
From 15 minutes to 30 minutes.
How long does it take to recover?
After the procedure, there’s no recovery time needed. You’re ready to get on with your day.
When do results appear and how long do they last?
You will feel a difference after a few days but the final result will start to show after 2-3 weeks. Results after the first session are noted to continue to improve over the next three months.
How often can I have treatments?
Treatments re usually repeated every month for 4 sessions in order to get the maximum benefit.
Are there any side effects?
Transient side effects after treatment are usually mild. Edema (swelling) may occur, generally lasting for around 24 – 48 hours and erythema (redness of the skin) may last for between 3 – 6 days. Some patients report mild crusting following pin-point bleeding, but this resolves spontaneously within 3-5 days.
Do I need anaesthesia?
Topical anaesthesia is usually applied for 30 minutes in order to make the treatment totally painless.
